Tasha&Chris at the Foxton Locks

Tasha&Chris are both musicians who met on the job in Birmingham some time ago now, though their energy and passion they share towards each other is as tangible as on day one. Throughout the time I spent with them, first meeting in Market Harborough where Tasha is from, and then at the Foxton Locks where they provided an amazing soundtrack to the early morning, I couldn’t help to feel this immense sense of priviledge and how honoured I am to be in the presence of such pure love, and to be able to document its stages!

Venturing out to the Foxton Locks for their pre-wedding photo shoot early in the morning, I felt I’m definitely up for a treat as we agreed that they would bring their instruments to the session and play while I photograph them doing so together. This, which cannot be heard in the photos naturally, was something else – I actually had to remind myself I’m here to document their love story yet I couldn’t help but meditate on the music they played. It was amazing, special, ethereal, oblivious and thoroughly captivating. I did manage to focus enough however (pun not intended) and the photographs produced are a record of the couple’s unbelivable and pure commitment to each other, their love and devotion, and sometimes even the giggles so important to enjoy and share with your soulmate.

I cannot wait to document their love story further this August, with the wedding locally here in Market Harborough.

With huge thanks to Tasha&Chris to allow me to document their love story!
